Here's how to get the best out of your 3-wick candle and keep things safe.

Care

Minimize smoking by trimming wicks to 1/4-inch (0.6 cm) length before lighting and keeping the wax clear of match heads and debris. Make sure you burn your candle for no longer than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish it when it gets to 4 hours, and let it completely cool and set before relighting. Extinguish your candle with a snuffer or by blowing; do not use water.

Placement

Always place a candle on a heat-resistant surface. Avoid drafty areas and keep away from things that catch fire. Make sure you have your candle in sight when lit, and extinguish before leaving the room. Keep away from children and pets. Always let the wax cool and solidify before relighting, touching or moving.
